Joseph Corbett is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President for the US Postal Service. He assumed this role in February 2009 after a decorated career in corporate finance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Corbett reports directly to Louis DeJoy, the US Postal Service’s current Postmaster General. He oversees the entirety of the Postal Service’s finances, which amount to more than $73 billion in annual revenue. As CFO, Corbett heads the Postal Service’s Strategy, Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Supply Management, and Regulatory Reporting functions. He is also a member of USPS’ Executive Leadership Team, and is acting Chairman of the Postal Service’s Investment Review Committee.
Joseph Corbett’s Background
Joseph Corbett attended George Washington University, where he graduated with honors with a degree in business administration. He was a distinguished member of GWU’s wrestling team, and even holds a spot in the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame.
Corbett brings more than 25 years of corporate finance, accounting, and SEC experience to his role at USPS. He began his career at the Big Four accounting firm KPMG, where he worked for more than a decade. Before joining USPS, Corbett also spent more than ten years in senior management positions at three multi-billion dollar companies. We’ve listed his former positions below:
