Erica Brix is Vice President of Great Lakes Area Operations for USPS. She assumed this role in January 2019, and has worked for the Postal Service since 1986.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Vice President of Great Lakes Area Operations, Brix reports to David Williams, USPS’ current Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. In her role, Brix oversees postal operations such as mail processing, distribution, administration, customer service, and more. She also manages an annual budget of $7 billion for her region, which serves more than 36 million customers across 5 states.
Erica Brix’s Background
Brix holds a bachelors of science degree in Business Management, and also graduated from the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program. She began her postal career in 1986 as a letter sorting machine clerk at the Minneapolis Processing and Distribution Center. Prior to assuming her current role, Brix served as Western Area Manager of Operations Support. Brix previously held a variety of leadership positions within the Postal Service throughout her career, such as Senior Plant Manager for the Northland district, Plant Manager for the Minneapolis/St. Paul Network Distribution Center, and acting District Manager for the Portland district.
