Who is Gregory Crabb?

Gregory Crabb is Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer for USPS. He assumed this role in March 2017, and has been a United States Postal Inspector for over two decades.

Duties and Responsibilities

As Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer, Crabb reports to Kristin Seaver, USPS’ current Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President. In his role, Crabb is responsible for protecting the Postal Service against digital threats, both present and future. Crabb doesn’t just protect USPS’ workers and its infrastructure, however; he also works to protect its customers, as well. Think of Crabb like the guy who installs security cameras and locks on all the doors. His main job is ensuring that USPS stays as secure as possible, which is critical in the digital age.

Gregory Crabb’s Background

Crabb graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in accounting from North Central College in Naperville, Illinois. Prior to assuming his current role, he has served in a variety of positions within the Postal Inspection Service. Some of these roles include Inspector in Charge of Revenue, Product, and Global Security, Assistant Inspector in Charge for Global Cyber Investigations, and Projects Coordinator of International Fraud for the San Francisco division. In addition to his extensive work in postal security, Crabb also graduated from the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership and Executive Leadership Programs.
