Robert Duncan is Chairman of the USPS Board of Governors. The Senate confirmed President Donald Trump’s appointment of Duncan in August 2018, and he was officially elected Chairman of the Board of Governors on September 13, 2018.
Duties and Responsibilities
As Chairman of USPS’ Board of Governors, Duncan heads the group that directs how the Postal Service exercises its powers. The Board of Governors also monitors and controls expenditures, reviews practices, conducts long-range planning, approves officer compensation, and sets policies on all postal matters. Duncan sits on the board alongside the other three current governors: Megan Brennan, Ronald Stroman, and the Honorable David Williams.
Robert Duncan’s Background
Duncan holds various degrees from the University of the Cumberlands and the University of Kentucky College of Law. He began his career in federal government service in 1989, with an appointment to President George H.W. Bush’s Commission on Executive Exchange. Duncan was also assistant director of the White House Office of Public Liaison under President George H.W. Bush, and he served as Chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2007 to 2009. In 2017, President Trump named Duncan the 17th Chairman of the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships.
In addition to his long career in government service, Duncan has also enjoyed a decorated corporate career. He served as president and CEO of the American Coalition for Clean Coal Electricity. Duncan is also chairman of the board of trustees at Alice Lloyd College, as well as chairman and CEO of the Inez Deposit Bank in Inez, Kentucky.

Since 2018 the Board of Governors has been staffed with nominations from the White House. It is short of 4 members and these four should be added to balance the Board. There should be at least a senior from the ranks, representing USPS; also a minority governor. These board is too easily MANIPULATED BY current admin.

The current deliberate internal destruction of the US Postal System needs to seize immediately. The devastation to the elderly, home-bound citizens, those awaiting vital needed prescriptions, small businesses who rely on the post office to survive, CPA firms who are responsible for delivering tax returns on a timely basis are being severely hurt by this deliberate action. You have an obligation to the American people, to the country to the wonderful history of the USPS to take action.

Mr. Duncan, do the right thing and get rid of Louis DeJoy. We don’t need a HUGE DONATOR to Trump in there sabotaging our Postal system. YOU will be held accountable and we will be looking into bringing you forth. Start looking for another position OUTSIDE the government if you don’t do right by the PEOPLE. I need my meds and my checks.
