Forbes Ranks USPS America’s Best Employer by State
Apparently, the US Postal Service isn’t just America’s favorite government agency based on the opinions of everyday citizens. Now, USPS employees themselves have added their voice to the mix…and according to the results, Forbes has ranked the US Postal Service as America’s best employer by state.
How Forbes Compiled the List of America’s Top Employers
To compile its third annual list of America’s Best Employers By State, Forbes partnered with market research company Statista. Forbes and Statista then surveyed 80,000 Americans who work for businesses with at least 500 employees. Surveys took place from October 2020 to June 2021 on a rolling basis. All of the surveys were anonymous, which allowed participants to share their opinions freely.
Once all the data was compiled from these 80,000 American workers, the list was divided into 51 rankings—one for each of the 50 states, in addition to Washington, D.C. The final list on the Forbes website ranks the 1,330 employers that received the most recommendations from their employees…and USPS tied for the most recommendations.
