Jacqueline Strako, or “Jakki” for short, is the current Chief Commerce and Business Solutions Officer and Executive Vice President for the US Postal Service. She assumed this role in August 2020. Prior to this, she served as Chief Customer and Marketing Officer.
Duties and Responsibilities
In her current role, Strako reports directly to Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, and is a member of the Executive Leadership Team. One of her main duties is to leverage the Postal Service’s network of plants, transportation, and last-mile strength to deliver solutions for USPS eCommerce customers. Such eCommerce customers include countless direct-to-consumer brands, as well as various shipping software companies that sell discounted USPS postage.
Within USPS, Strako leads the following four organizations:
- Transportation Strategy
- Facilities
- Business Development, and
- Business Solutions
As the Postal Service continues to place more emphasis on package services, Strako’s role is critical to the success of the long-term vision for USPS.
Jacqueline Strako’s Background
Jacqueline Strako earned a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa. She also received a Master’s of Business Administration from DePaul University. She began her career with USPS in 1989 as an industrial engineer at the Postal Service Headquarters. Since then, she has held various positions within the organization, most of which were in the Great Lakes Area. Some of Strako’s former positions within USPS include manager of Operations Support and Area Finance manager.
Before assuming her current role, Strako served as Vice President of Great Lakes Area Operations. In that role, she oversaw 61,000 employees, and service to 36 million customers across the Midwest. Subsequently, she stepped into the Chief Customer and Marketing Officer position. She held that title until being appointed to her current role as Chief Commerce and Business Solutions Officer and Executive Vice President.
