Kevin McAdams is Vice President of Delivery Operations for USPS. He assumed this role in June 2016, and has worked for USPS for over 40 years!
Duties and Responsibilities
As VP of Delivery Operations, McAdams reports to David Williams, USPS’ current Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. McAdams is responsible for all aspects of delivery operations within USPS’ network, which includes all 154 million household and business addresses in the country. In addition to overseeing all city and rural delivery operations, McAdams manages Delivery Strategy and Planning, as well as USPS’ fleet of over 200,000 vehicles.
Kevin McAdams’ Background
McAdams began his postal career early in his life, working as a letter-sorting machine clerk in Van Nuys, California. He went to California State University Northridge and studied business management at the University of Phoenix. McAdams also graduated from the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program. Prior to assuming his current role, he held a variety of leadership positions within USPS. Most notably, McAdams worked as manager of Operations Support and then VP of Area Operations for the Capital Metro Area. In these roles, McAdams oversaw mail service to nearly 16 million customers spread across over 130,000 square miles!
